Makaan Investment Group was founded in May 2021 with the goal to help family, friends and businesses build wealth for generations. Founder Madina Shaik saw the opportunity in multifamily assets for these investors, who are looking for high returns from passive investmaents. After a year of operations, Makaan had acquired 2,535 units across 11 apartment communities, bringing their assets under management (AUM) to $322MM.
Today, Madina and his team continue to grow from Makaan’s Houston headquarters through investments, partnering with award-winning management companies while keeping asset management in-house. Makaan targets to deliver an average Investment Rate of Return at 20%, with average Equity Multiples of 2.7x and cash on cash at 9% with average hold terms of 5 years, across its deals.
The Makaan Investment Group continues to make headway in its journey from zero to billion dollar company in its first two years.
